This is a strength-biased class that does finish with a short, intense WOD to improve overall fitness.
Each class, we do 2 lifts (3 sets of 5 reps/lift) in a very controlled, coach-led format. After we lift, we do 3 sets of 3-5 strict pull-ups (most of our Kids use some combination of bands to make this movement more appropriate for their skill level) and 3 sets of max push-ups. We wrap up our training session with a 5-10 minute WOD that usually involves things like running/shuttle sprints, cycling, box jumps, burpees, sandbags, med. ball slams, etc.
Finally, we close off our class with a talk about our 5 Factors of Health (Eat, Sleep, Train, Think & Connect). Each of these talks align with our weekly newsletter that each kid receives a hard copy of after class. Every Kid’s family also receives a weekly email (including a digital copy of this newsletter) explaining what’s happening in class that particular week.
Class cancellations/off days are determined by Natick Public Schools (vacations, no school days, snow days, etc). There will be no refunds for snow days. Our full schedule, including any changes, can be found by clicking on the "Schedule" tab at the top of this page.
