31 Heroes was created specifically to honor the 30 men and one dog that gave their lives for our country on August 6, 2011. It is 31 minutes long—one minute in remembrance of each hero. The rep scheme is 8-6-11—the date of their ultimate sacrifice. Finally, this is a partner WOD. The men who gave their lives were from multiple branches of our military, working together as a team.  In the workout you and your team member will constantly be taking the load from each other providing much needed support and relief. We realize that no physical sacrifice made during a workout can come close to the sacrifice our brave heroes made, but we consider this WOD a CrossFitters “moment of silence.” This is how we can honor those that gave all in the name of freedom.

All funds raised will go to programs that support surviving & active duty military families.

Your $39 dollar donation goes a long way. In return, you will also receive a free 31Heroes T-Shirt.

    All of that was just to bury the results of my workout this morning.

    Bullfrog – 8 rounds, I think. I lost count between rounds 3 and 4 – pathetic. 45#, combo of DU and then most rounds were singles. The DU were there for the warm up – like buttah – and then… well, they were gone.

    psyched to get my double unders in a row! most of the rounds I was able to string between 10 and 20 in a row without tripping. Getting more efficient and less winded when I do them.

    Kevin it’s the rope. I have struggled with double unders since starting CrossFit. I finally got my first one about 8 months ago, but have never strung them together. Today I finally strung a couple together and all told got 66 in 7 minutes, and a few cleans thrown in there too. It’s the Starbii!

    Bullfrog: 7+21 — rx weight and single-unders. I think this was my first time using 80# for snatches in a wod. Actually felt pretty good!
