  15. Wow! This is more exciting than the time I won a shotgun in a fishing tournament when I was 11 (I grew up in Western Pennsylvania so, yes, that’s a true story). Congrats to LJ, Kristen and the rest of the successful challengers.

Lynne: 3/6, 8/6, 7/5, 6/6, 4/5 – Started at 155# but didn’t think I’d get a good bench press stimulus there so dropped to 135#. Tried to keep the pull-ups as strict as possible.

BIG CONGRATS to all the Paleo Challenge winners! You’re all rockstars in my book.

A special shout out to my hubby as well – I’m super proud of you Joe and impressed that you didn’t cave when I was eating those cupcakes right in front of you on Mother’s Day. (apologies)

Not to be cheesy but I feel like a winner myself – truly. I have to admit I was a paleo -resister and was conveniently pregnant for the last two challenges so I didn’t participate. This time I decided to give it a go and I learned a lot about myself. Harry challenged us to post 3 takeaways recently. Here’s what I learned:

1.) I found after a few short days that I had much more energy and my cravings diminished. It was even easier to get up in the morning. I even found I didn’t NEED my coffee every day, the way I have for my entire adult life. (PS. Almond milk is delicious).

2.) I learned that I can live without Lindt chocolates truffle every afternoon. This is big. They’ve since become a once in a while treat, which makes me appreciate them even more.

3.) While many of my coworkers thought I was a bit nuts it IS possible to find a healthy lunch or modify your lunch to be paleo. Even when you’re doing a TV edit surrounded by FREE not-so-healthy food with a giant bowl of candy in your face all day. The co-workers didn’t even question me until about a week in. Work has been the hardest place to apply this, but with a little planning and a whole lot of tupperware it is possible.

CONCLUSION: I actually want to continue doing much of this. Who knew? CFNE continues to rock and bring more positive to my life.

  28. Andy M

Congrats paleo challenge winners, great work, keep it up!
