  1. My tired mind played a trick on me. I read it as Lots of Dessert

    Nice Jamie!

I wanted to share something meaningful with everyone. Last spring when I announced my decision to leave my medical practice,, a friend gave me a gift which inspires me every day. It’s a small wooden block that sits on my bureau and it says

    “Live the life you’ve imagined.”

The 8:30 class has been talking about “have to’s” vs. “get to’s.”
I am so lucky that I get to workout often, be with inspiring people, spend my days taking care of my husband and kids, the hockey team and Miss Macchi’s 4th grade class. I get to volunteer with the Family Nurturing Center and do meaningful work to prevent child abuse. Friends who are part our CFNE family have a wonderful tradition of saying what each family member is thankful for before they begin family dinners.

    What are you thankful for?

  3. Colleen (OC)

I’m thankful for another year of living! And I’m thankful that Ronda kept time for me while I did Tosh this morning. That’s not easy doing all that math so early in the morning!

Tosh: 32:55, Rx. I just like putting the Rx there. I don’t get those very often.

Nice meeting you this morning Josh!

  4. AMRAP 12 T2B and 12 burpees: 5 rounds +13

Lost in the Desert: 8:53 with 40# sandbag

2 WODS within an hour was hard, but, did feel good since I have not WODDED in a couple of days and judged/watched at ECC all day yesterday—it really makes you want to compete or at the very least WOD.

Thanks, Rhonda, for opening up the gym, guiding/cheering/coaching us through the WODS this morning. Great working our with Jeremy, John, Charlie, Rhonda, Brian, and Toni. It was small but great spirit and comraderie today!
    Have a great Sunday!

  5. Lost in the Desert: 9:01 (20#)

    Great class Ronda!!

  6. “Lost in the Desert” – 9:10 (80# bag)

Great job by all in our small class this AM!

What am I thankful for? Wow, way too much to write here! I am unbelievably thankful for my wife and daughter, thankful that I train with incredible coaches and athletes that push me to achieve new heights, AND I am thankful that today I was able to be coached by the one and only Ronda Rockett for the first time!

Thankful for this glorious day to watch my son play football. Thankful that my Dad is at my side celebrating his 79th birthday today.

    Lost in desert: 8:11, 40 #

    Happy Birthday, Colleen!

Great work today everyone! Impressive Double WOD by Sam,Jeremy and John.

Re-reading Tuesdays with Morrie and getting daily reminders of what really matters in life. If this were your last day on earth, how would you spend it? What would you say to your loved ones?

  8. I’m grateful to be a part of the CFNE community. It’s getting close to my year anniversary (Nov) and I have gained more than I can express in words from my experience with you all. Today I completed my first Crossfit competition – ECC Scaled division. This weekend was inspiring, humbling and full of sincere love and support between members of the CFNE and extended Crossfit community. It really doesn’t get much better than that! A HUGE thanks to Ali for her support and encouragement. She gave me the confidence I needed to sign up in the first place ;-D

Each time I get in the car after a WOD, CFNE social gathering or competition, one of the first things my mind says is, “I can’t wait to be back here!”

Thank you for posing the great reflection question Ronda!
