LT Scott F Milley

1st LT Scott F. Milley gave his life serving the United States as a member of the prestigious 10th Mountain Division.  Scott was an exceptional soldier, an exceptional athlete, and an exceptional human being. Scott’s charismatic enthusiasm endeared him to all who met him and his positive attitude and mental toughness were present in all of life’s challenges. “Scooter” was never without a smile and always had a way of making those around him smile as well.

The Lt. Scott F. Milley Ranger Foundation was created to honor the life of Lt. Scott F. Milley, Army Ranger from Sudbury, MA.  The organization seeks to accomplish this by raising funds through traditional fundraising activities and then using these funds to provide scholarships to individuals with need and with a record of service and leadership.

    Scott’s older sister Ashley has been a member of our family since Jojo, my youngest, was born. She has not only been our babysitter, but she has been my sanity. We have become extremely close to her entire family and I have to say that everything that has ever been written about Scotty is true and then some. He was an amazing person, soldier and athlete. His family is one of the most generous and close knit families I have ever know. I love them all to death, please consider donating.

    Scooter: 20:43, no weights for the 400m since I was on a treadmill, so I ran 600m at a steady 6.5mph pace. 20″ box jump.

    Wanted to do the 2min drill on the Airdyne, as Todd’s work gym actually has one, but the seat was broken and I couldn’t lower it.

    2min DU drill: 20 (took a week off since I was sick, so no progress here)

  12. I am SOOO bummed I cannot be at CFNE for “Scooter” today. Although I never taught the Milley’s as they graduated before I started at LS in 2009, I walk by Scott’s memorial plaque everyday. I was at LS when the entire school lined Concord road to honor Scott when his body returned home. His spirit is strong at LS today and he remains an inspiration to many students as well as teachers. I am humbled by CFNE and the entire Crossfit community’s commitment to raise awarness of incredible heroes like Scott and honor their incredible selflessness, courage and valor. Have a GREAT WOD everyone!
