Unbelieveable effort by Big Bri this morning, finishing JT Rx'd. I wish more of you were around to see it.
I am constantly reminded that many of the most impressive performances are ones that dont neccessarily end up on the leader boards. Where most mere mortals would give up and quit, it is amazing to watch CFNE athletes push through physical and mental barriers every day.
...and the best thing is that those lessons translate into life outside the walls of CFNE!

Hey guys - thanks for your comments! I didn't see these until just now - I was wondering how everyone knew about it this morning! You are right in the Crossfit can be a metaphor for life - I was NOT going to let JT beat me!! While this WOD was humbling as hell for me (my HSPU's are "bleating" right now), it does remind me that it is not always about setting a PR. It is about striving to better yourself, no matter where you are at on the spectrum.
I also found out how much I was cheating on ROM - every rep was strict this time, folks! Reply to this

Derek - Thats exactly what I was thinking. It's not always the workouts that you crush that make you stronger; persevering and having determination to finish no matter how long creates a different kind of strength that is invaluable.

Nice work Bri....I completely agree with Derek and Mat. The workouts that I've reaped the most benefit from, are quite often the ones that completely destroyed me. A good example was finishing "Ryan" rx'd in 46minutes. Just about everyone had already gone home before I was done, but making it through that made me a better athlete and person. Reply to this
